No Cook Cookies UPDATED!!!

OKAY I TOTALLY HAD THIS RECIPE DOWN WRONG... THAT'S WHY THEY DIDN'T TURN OUT FOR LINDSAY'S BABY BLESSING.. I HAD 1 AND 1/2 CUPS OF CANNED MILK.. IT'S ONLY 1/2 CUPS:) DUH!! SO ENJOY AND NOW IT IS LISTED RIGHT :)

2 T. Cocoa
2 C. Sugar
1 Sq. Butter
1/2 C. Canned Milk
1/2 t. Salt

Cook together in large pan. Bring to boil, cook one minute. Take off heat.
ADD 1 t. Vanilla and 3 C. of INSTANT oatmeal.
Stir and stir—until it starts to thicken and clumps.
Spoon on wax paper.

SO GOOD!!

Market Streets Clam Chowder

2 cans minced Clams (don’t drain)
2 cups diced Potatoes
1 cup finely sliced Onions
1 cup finely diced Celery
Put in pan & cover with water and
simmer until tender with lid on.

WHITE SAUCE
(2) 3/4 cup Butter
(1 1/2) 3/4 cup Flour
1 pt. Whipping Cream
1 pt. Milk
1 1/2 t. Salt
pinch of Pepper

Stir until smooth and thickened.
Combine together and keep warm on simmer.

Chicken Chili

1 can Dk. Kidney Beans
1 can Kidney Beans
1 can Great Northern Beans
1 can Diced Tomatoes—Italian Style
1 can Mild Chili
1 pk. Chili mix (Schilling’s)

Bring to boil
ADD
1 can Corn and 2 Chicken Breasts (cut up)
Simmer
ENJOY!!

Bowtie Noodle Salad


1 Large bag of Italian Blend Lettuce
(or a head of Roman Lettuce)
1 Package of Bow-tie Noodles
—Cooked according to package and cooled
1 Cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
1 Small bag of Slivered Almonds (or as desired)
—Roasted (in a non-stick pan brown almonds with approx. 1T. of sugar)
1 small bottle of Cardinis Caesar Dressing.

Mix right before serving.

This is Chris' favorite salad.. and it's great cause you can make stuff before hand and then last minute put it together.. ENJOY

Summertime Salsa

1 container of regular salsa from THE STORE
1 container of bean salsa from THE STORE
2 or 3 avacados cut up
2 or 3 limes to sqeeze into the mix
Put everything together and eat with your favorite tortilla chips (the lime ones are tasty with this recipe) and enjoy!

Pizza Sloppy Joe's

It may sound a little weird, but they are amazing. I can eat atleast 2! I could eat many more but I try to contain myself.

Ingredients:
1lb. lean ground beef
1 jar spaghetti sauce
10-12 pepperoni's
1 cup shredded cheese
1 tsp. Oregano
8 hamburger buns

In large frying pan brown meat until no pink. Drain excess fat. On medium heat pour jar of spaghetti sauce in with meat. Cut pepperoni's into halves or small triangles then add to spaghetti sauce and meat. Season with oregano and mix until sauce is warm enough to eat!
Serve on hamburger buns and top with cheese! Oh so yummy!

Cafe Rio Salads

Chicken

5 lbs Chicken Brest – boneless, skinless
1 small bottle Zesty Italian Dressing
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 Tbsp cumin
3 cloves garlic, minced

Mix all ingredients together in a large crock pot. Cook on high for 5-7 hours. Remove chicken and shred with fork. Reserve a small amount of juice and pour over shredded chicken to keep moist. Keep warm.

Pork

Pork Roast
1 bottle of honey barbeque sauce
1 Tbsp honey
1 liter of Coke

Place all ingredients in large crock pot and cook on low all night. In the morning take the roast out leaving the juice in the crock pot, shred the roast. Then place the shredded roast back in the crock pot and leave it on low.

Lime Rice

In a sauce pan, sauté:

2 Tbsp butter
1 yellow onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced

In a large pot, bring the following to a boil:

6 2/3 cup water
8 tsp chicken bullion
½ bunch cilantro, chopped
2 tsp cumin
2 small cans diced green chilies
1 Tbsp lime juice
½ tsp salt

Add onion and garlic to boiling water. Add 3 cups long grain rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

Pico de Gallo

4 fresh tomatoes, chopped
1 white onion, chopped
¼ bunch cilantro, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp lime juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Combine ingredients together in a medium bowl.

Tomatillo Dressing

1 pkg of Hidden Valley Buttermilk Ranch Dressing dry mix
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup mayonnaise
1-2 tomatillos, peel
½ - 1 clove garlic, minced
½ - 1/3 bunched cilantro, chopped
½ tsp lime juice
½ - 1 small Jalapeno, seeds removed

Blend ingredients together in a blender. Add additional mayonnaise if dressing is too thin. Keep refrigerated.


Serve in the following order:

Tortillas
Shredded cheese
Chicken or Pork
Black or Pinto Beans
Lime Rice
Red and Green Leaf Lettuce, shredded
Pico de Gallo
Guacamole
Fresh cilantro
Parmesan cheese
Fresh lime slice
Tomatillo dressing

White Chili

1 medium yellow onion chopped and sautéed
1-2 cloves garlic minced (i buy minced garlic in the jar it's easier)
1 tsp cumin powder
2 chicken breast cooked and cubed (you can use as much chicken as you want)
1 16 oz can white kidney beans drained (also called cannelini beans)
1 16 oz can garbanzo beans drained
1 4 oz can diced green chilies
2 tsp chicken bouillon granules (i used a small cube of chicken bouillon instead)
2 - 2 1/2 cups hot water
mix everything together in your Crockpot and cook for 2 hours
add 3/4 - 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup cheese right before serving
Taylor and I add tortilla chips on top and i also love adding chopped tomatoes

Wadsworth Chex Mix

2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
4 Tbsp Karo syrup
1/2 cup water
boil to a softball stage
* cover a cookie sheet with wax paper and pour corn chex on paper
pour syrup mix over corn chex.
let cool and break up into pieces.

Molly's Hawaiian Style Chicken

1 can pineapple chucks (drain juice) in drained juice add
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp worsch sauce (i don't always add this)
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tsp soy sauce
boil in the microwavein a separate bowl mix
1/4 cup vinegar
2 Tbsp cornstarch (if you don't do these two separate from the others the cornstarch doesn't dissolve)
mix every thing together, and pour over chicken. I use chicken tenderloins from costco because of their size but use what you like)
Cook at 350 for 1 hour
30 minutes covered and 30 uncovered

Homemade Oreos

2 boxes devils food cake mix
4 Tbsp. flour
4 eggs
3/4 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix and roll into small balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8-10 min. (don't overcook). Frost with cream cheese frosting (I usually just buy it pre-made). Enjoy!

Recipe Book

Hello! I am really excited about the idea of an online recipe blog. This is how it will work. If you'd like to participate, just send me an email and I'll add you to this blog. Then you can get on and post any recipes you'd like ~ desserts, main courses, appetizers, etc. Then us girlfriends can use this as a reference for our own dinners. I know we are always in need of some good ideas and new meals, so please participate and share your recipes!
